Regular size = 67 grams (2.36 ounces), approximately 24 tsp (½ cup), the size of a standard spice jar.
One of the oldest, most versatile, and widely-used of all the spices, garlic is prized in cuisines across the world for its onion-like pungency, mild sweetness, and ability to complement and enhance the flavor of nearly any ingredient or seasoning. Garlic can be used in small amounts to unlock flavors and textures in a wide variety of dishes, or in larger amounts to provide a rich fragrance and depth of flavor to classic dishes and sauces.
Protip: minced garlic can be substituted in most recipes for chopped fresh garlic at a ratio of 3 for 1 — i.e., if the recipe calls for 3 tsp of fresh garlic, use 1 tsp minced garlic instead. If you’re really fussy you can soak the minced garlic in cold water for 3-5 minutes before using.
