Dandelion leaf has been used as an herbal tea for centuries as a healthful, cleansing drink. It has a tangy bitterness with dry, grassy aromas and flavors, somewhat like a more robust chamomile, and with similar relaxing, soothing effects – it is often used to combat allergies, recover from cold or flu, or to settle or soothe the stomach.
Do not confuse dandelion leaf with dandelion root! If you’re looking for “the one that tastes like coffee” you want dandelion root.
